About us
Kiss Marry Kill is a privately funded startup with offices in the UK. We started as a chat-in-a-London-pub (thanks to everyone at the P&S) in June 2009.
How do we calculate the Kiss Marry Kill rating?
Simple. For each Kiss we assign a score of 1 point, each Marry 2 points and each Kill -1 point. The calculation is restricted to the last 14 days worth of votes.
Where did the idea for Kiss Marry Kill come from?
We all love celebrities don't we? Or do we hate them? You get the idea. For a long time we toyed around with different celebrity fame metrics until it was staring us in the face. What better gauge of a celebrity than how we, the baying public feel about them in relationship terms.
How is Kiss Marry Kill built?
Our engineering team works with a web application framework called LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). We all work on macintosh computers except for testing purposes. Our web site and user interface were designed using Photoshop. The blogs are presented via the Wordpress MU platform.
