During a stay in hospital once, a rumour that Peter had died started spreading around the internet, causing fans to contact his website and forcing Peter to issue a statement insisting that he was still alive.

Interviewed on This Morning in July 2009, Peter said that he believes that he must "move on with his life" and there is "little chance" that he and Price will ever reconcile.
